Some of the other beaches worth visiting are Varadero Beach, Playa Los Flamencos, and Playa Pilar.

Witness the Caribbean Flamingos

Protection of flamingos has become one of the priorities for the Cuban government and it has been taking great efforts to preserve its population. You can visit certain areas where these birds can be found in significant numbers, such as the Caguanes National Park and Cienaga de Zapata. You can witness these birds happily flapping their wings and taking off to the sky at the mouth of the Maximo River. This is a wetland located in the Camaguey province, which is a part of the central-eastern region of Cuba.
