There's a good reason why year after year, numerous families from different corners of the world visit Orlando during their holidays. After all, who wouldn't want to be in a world of fantasy created by two big names in the entertainment industry - Disney and Universal Studios. More than 59 million tourists visited Orlando in the year 2013. Can you imagine how much they spent in that particular year? More than 33 billion dollars! That's the kind of magic Orlando's theme parks and family entertainment venues have created in the minds of millions. Here, we've listed some of the popular ones for you:

Magic Kingdom

True to its name, this is one place where you'll find yourself in the enchanting world of fantasies. Children would love the amazing rides, such as the Astro Orbiter, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and The Barnstormer. You and your family would also get the chance to pose with the world-renowned Disney Characters and witness some spectacular fireworks. The restaurants located in this magical destination also have some memorable experiences in store for all of you besides their delectable treats.

Islands of Adventure

Opened in 1999, this theme park in the Universal Orlando Resort takes you on a thrilling journey of exploration to its themed islands. In the year 2010, a new island themed on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was opened in this park, creating a lot of buzz among the potential visitors. The latest island opened to visitors is the Skull Island, which welcomed its visitors on the 13th of July, 2016. As of now, this theme park has a total of eight themed islands and two of them are based on the original works of Universal Studios.

Universal Studios Florida

Ranked sixth among the most attended theme parks in the United States of America, Universal Studios Florida is a place where you actually live the movie instead of watching one. Here you'll experience a host of jaw-dropping adventures involving evil villains, fire-breathing dragon and other wild characters. For your kids, there are some fantastic play areas that allow them to splash around in the waters and enjoy several other fun-filled attractions.

SeaWorld

When this renowned chain of marine theme parks was opened to visitors in 1964, it got over 400,000 guests in its very first year. Today, with several additions made to the original park, you have much more to see and do in this incredible marine entertainment park. In recent times, the park features exciting roller coasters, animal encounters, and some dazzling shows. The fun, of course, doesn't end with this as you would get to enjoy some lip-smacking delicacies, beverages, and desserts in the in-park restaurant. There are some gift shops and stores in the park as well.
